Quality Life Management (QLM) Volunteer Program
We have several buildings for you to volunteer at. You are welcome to volunteer at more than one of our buildings and there are ample opportunities for different activities to assist with.
We have a special program called Buddy Match, where we try to match you with a resident who has similar interests and experiences but has little family or friend support. We ask that if you choose to participate in the Buddy Match program that you are willing and able to volunteer at least 1 hour per week for an entire year. We will also ask you to complete a detailed, one page Activity Assessment in addition to the Volunteer Application.
Buddy’s will meet with the resident, spend time with and get to know them, assist the resident with and/or to activities and in general, be a familiar and consistent person in their life. The relationships residents develop with their Buddy are deeply important to the resident, which is why we ask for the commitment. You are more than welcome to volunteer in Buddy Match program and volunteer in other capacities as well.

If you have a special talent or an idea for a volunteer activity, let us know and we will find the right place for you. If you know you want to volunteer, but don’t know exactly what you can do, speak with anyone on our Volunteer Team, a facility Activity Director or Resident Services Director.
